ABOUT A MISSING STITCH

Hi, I'm Alissa, the creator behind the brand. In 2018 I lost my first daughter, Anna, to stillbirth. I felt lost and looked to many unconventional means of therapy. After picking up some yarn and a hook one night at 3am, and crocheting until the sun came up, I felt a spark of life return to me. I continued crocheting and perfecting patterns for the next couple weeks, and had a growing pile of custom crochet work. My husband encouraged me to start selling them, I thought I would make just enough to continue the hobby of creating. But much to my surprise, my wonderful customers and support system sold me out week after week. I can never say thank you enough for what A Missing Stitch has meant to me. I am overjoyed to see it expand this year and continue to thrive.
